Home Office in Uncertain Quarantine times…

So we are all home working, home schooling, becoming master chefs making three meals a day which seems like Groundhog Day, yet trying to keep some normalcy about it all. How many of you have found a quiet little piece of real estate in your homes so you can get something done? This area you see in the photograph is a little corner in my bedroom. None of the pictures or little stuffed animal heads(Sugarboo Designs) were on the wall behind me or a desk for that matter.
My point for this post is to give you some inspiration on how to make a cozy little niche’ so you can find some sanctuary during the day and still be productive.
My tips:

  1. What are the things that make you happy? Make sure to have them in this area. Mine are fun vibrant prints, my vision board, flowers, a candle, and I always have a blanket nearby. I always tend to have little magical bits of childhood too. I think it helps me stay light hearted.

  2. Make sure you can see out a window for a little break and find something to look at and appreciate other than something in the screen in front of you.

  3. Make sure you have some lamps for cozy light and not overhead bright lights.

  4. Use your favorite mugs or teacup for breaks so you feel like you are pampering yourself a bit.

  5. Place encouraging notes, quotes or keep your gratitude journal nearby as beautiful reminders that you’ve got this!
